Funeral services for Henrietta Brunnemer, age 73 of Plainville, will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 29, 2011 at the Plainville United Methodist Church in Plainville with Reverend Eric Rook officiating. Mrs. Brunnemer passed away Saturday, June 25, 2011 at her home in Plainville. She was born January 9, 1938 in Salina, Kansas the daughter of Henry and Dorothy (Srna) Prochaska. She graduated from Simpson High School and attended Kansas Wesleyan. Henrietta was a homemaker and enjoyed watching wildlife and sports. She also enjoyed gardening and growing flowers. On May 26, 1957 she married J.D. Brunnemer in Simpson, Kansas. He survives of the home. Other survivors include her son Jay Brunnemer of Plainville; daughter Jill and her husband Dan Wells of Hays; brothers Ivan and his wife Gloria Prochaska of Moab, Utah, Don and his wife Kathy Prochaska of Beloit, Kansas, Dale and his wife Nora Prochaska of Simpson, Kansas, Kent Prochaska of Glasco, Kansas; sisters Avis and her husband Marvin Henning of Jamestown, Kansas, Gwen Boudreaux of Beloit, Kansas; and one granddaughter Haley Wells of Hays. She was preceded in death by an infant son and her parents. Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 29, 2011 at the Prairie Grove Cemetery near Cawker City, Kansas. The casket will be open for family only. Friends may sign the register book from 5-8 Monday, 9-8 Tuesday at the Moore-Overlease Funeral Chapel and from 9:30 – service time Wednesday at the Church. Memorial contributions may be made to the United Methodist Women or to the Dreiling/Schmidt Cancer Institute at Hays Medical Center and may be sent in care of the funeral chapel.
