Helen Theresa Hageman passed away on Monday, May 3, 2021 at the Redbud Village in Plainville, KS at the age of 93. She was born on March 28, 1928 to Peter and Suzanna (Ubert) Giebler in Catharine, KS. Helen was united in marriage to Clarence Hageman on May 14, 1952 in Catharine. They were blessed with nine children: Don, Terry, Mike, Pat, Tim, Jerry, Steve, Kathy, and Jolene. Helen was a woman of faith and love. She was passionate about her family and the Lord. Helen belonged to the Daughters of Isabella and was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Plainville. She is preceded in death by her parents, Peter and Suzanna Giebler; husband, Clarence Hageman; five brothers; and six sisters. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Don (Wendy) Hageman of McCook, NE, Terry (Cheryl) Hageman of Plainville, Mike (Anita) Hageman of Plainville, Pat (Karen) Hageman of Plainville, Tim Hageman of Plainville, Jerry (Nancy) Hageman of Plainville, Steve Hageman of Plainville, Kathy (Randy) Gish of Natoma, and Jolene (Duane) Staab of Kersey, CO; brother, Norman Giebler of Peculiar, MO; twenty-seven grandchildren; and forty great-grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, May 7, 2021 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Plainville at 10:30 AM. Visitation will be held on Thursday at the funeral home from 2PM until 4:30 PM and then at the church from 6PM until 8PM with a Vigil Service and Rosary at 7PM. Memorials are suggested to Sacred Heart Catholic School and may be sent in care of Plumer-Overlease Funeral Home, 320 SW 2nd St., Plainville, KS 67663.
