Harvey A. Woodmansee, 95, of Wilson, Kansas passed away September 4, 2015 at the Ellsworth County Medical Center in Ellsworth, Kansas. Harvey was born August 9, 1920, in Kanopolis, Kansas, the son of Russell and Viola (Barton) Woodmansee. He grew up in the Kanopolis area and graduated from Ellsworth High School in 1938. After graduation he served his county in the United States Army. Harvey was united in marriage to Helen Rabas in 1941 in Sterling, Kansas. This union was blessed with two sons; Roger and Douglas. Together they made their home in Wilson, Kansas. Helen preceded him in death on July 14, 1997. He later married Blanche Jiricek. She survives. Harvey owned and operated Wilson Supply for over 50 years. He was a member of St. Bernard’s Catholic Church in Ellsworth, Ellsworth Masonic Lodge #146, Life member of Ellsworth V.F.W. Post #6458, 70 year member of the American Legion Post #262 in Wilson and the Wilson Saddle Club. Survivors include his wife, Blanche, of Ellsworth, two sons; Roger Woodmansee and wife Julia of Wilson, Douglas Woodmansee and partner Marshall Pearcy of Palm Springs, CA, a brother, Phil Woodmansee and wife Carol of Great Bend, two sisters in laws; Marie Woodmansee and Pauline Woodmansee, three grandchildren, five great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Helen, and four brothers; Glen, Russell Jr. Keith, and Lyell.
