Grace Marie Russell passed away Friday, December 13, 2013 at her home in Wilder, Idaho at the age of 98. She was born July 17, 1915 in Blue Springs, Nebraska to Tilman Asbury and Minnie Olive (Hesse) Bradley. Her early years were spent in Nebraska, and later moving to Kansas. She graduated from Axtell High School. Grace married Lyle S. Russell on December 16, 1934 in Seneca, Kansas. To this union 7 children were born: Donald S., Joleen, Janet, Roxy, Roger, Steve & Sue. After farming in Kansas, Lyle & Grace moved to Stockton in December of 1972. They lived on the hill under the water tower for 30 years. During those years Grace served in her local church. She also served as an officer in both the Gideon’s Auxiliary and the Kansas Author's Club and belonged to a local quilting group. She owned & operated Hillside Ceramics for 10 years, teaching ceramics to young & old alike. Grace leaves a legacy of creativity, love of community and most of all love of her family of 7 children, 24 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren (50+) and 13 great-great- grandchildren. Her husband, Lyle of 70 years preceded her on her journey to Heaven.
