Gerri Lyn (Crumb) Templin passed away Sunday June 8, 2014 at her home in Woodston, Kansas at the age of 51. She was born November 20, 1962 to Harold “Zeb” LeRoy Sr. and Sandra Lee (Hall) Crumb in Morris, Illinois. On June 2, 2001, she was united in marriage to James F. Templin. Gerri lived her life loving others and helping anyone in need. Never knowing a stranger, if you met her, you instantly made a new friend. She enjoyed shooting pool, throwing darts, and was a member of ABATE of Illinois. Always a smile on her face, she loved her family, her friends, and her faithful dogs Hatia and Isis. Hatia quickly followed her, and passed away June 13, 2014, having been a faithful loving companion for 16 years. Survivors include her husband James of Tennessee, Mathew Topping of the Philippines, Pamela and Kiley Topping of California, Harold Crumb Jr. of Illinois, Calvin Emerick of Illinois, Lisa and William Newman of Kansas, Charyl Knight Emerick of Kansas, Isis of the home, and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends - of a lifetime. She was preceded in death by Charles and Florence (Zeusehner) Crumb Sr., Harry and Donna (DePuy) Hall, Harold Crumb Sr., and Sandra and Christian Jensen. Suggested attire at the Celebration of Life Service, in Gerri’s honor, is any Chicago sports team except the “Sucky Sox,” NASCAR, or Harley gear. Gerri was a fun-loving, out-going, full-of-life person. She loved greatly, was greatly loved, and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
