Gary Lynn Sanders

Gary Lynn Sanders, 58, passed away June 13, 2018. He was born on January 31, 1960 in Hays, Kansas, son of Lucretia Cunningham and Donald Sanders, step-son of Gary B. Cunningham. He is survived by his mother; companion of the home Tammie Reed; brother Brian Sanders and wife Susan of Giltner, NE; sisters Debra Sanders of South Hutchinson, Dorothy Sanders of Hutchinson, and Brenda Unruh and husband Dean of Hutchinson; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and friends; and dog Rocket. He was preceded in death by his son Brian Scott Sanders, daughter Amy Kingsbury, brother Scott Cunningham, and fathers Donald Sanders and Gary B. Cunningham. Gary was a roofer and carpenter by profession. He took great joy in having built a church in Nickerson, Kansas and pointing out the many roofs he had put on. He enjoyed putting together bicycles for kids, the Kansas City Chiefs, and wrestling. He had a tender heart and will be missed by many. A graveside inurnment will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, June 23, 2018 at the Wilson City Cemetery in Wilson. There will be no visitation.
