Eldon A. Kriley passed away at his home in Stockton, Kansas on Tuesday, July 21, 2020 at the age of 69. He was born in Hays, Kansas to Everett and Leona (Kohn) Kriley on December 9, 1950. He was united in marriage to Constance “Connie” Laska on April 20, 1974 in Stockton. They were blessed with 10 children:, Anthony, Holly, Todd, Jessica, Angela, Katrina, Timothy, Aaron, Heather, and Caleb. Eldon grew up in Rooks County where he graduated from Stockton High School with the Class of 1968. After high school he enlisted in the United States Army where he served from 1970 to 1973. When he returned home he farmed and ranched for the remainder of his life. He took a lot of pride in tending to the land and his Black Angus cattle. When he wasn’t working, he enjoyed car races, demo derbys, Ford vehicles, and watching birds and squirrels. He was loyal to the Kansas sports teams: the Royals, Chiefs, and KU Basketball, and liked watching the March Madness Basketball Tournament every year. Eldon was a hard-working, kind, and faith-filled man. He was a member of St. Thomas Catholic Church in Stockton, the V.F.W., and the Knights of Columbus. Left to cherish Eldon’s memory is his wife, Connie Kriley of the home in Stockton; children, Anthony Kriley (Treysa Casper) of Stockton, KS, Holly (Clint) Bedore of Stockton, Todd (Trisha) Kriley of Stockton, Jessica Kriley (Aaron Romrell) of Pelham, NH, Angela (John) Sherback of Easton, MA, Katrina (Justin) Gelino of Clifton, KS, Timothy (Janell) Kriley of Topeka, KS, Heather (Collins) Ehioba of Overland Park, KS, and Caleb Kriley (Emily Barnett) of Overland Park, KS; brothers, Roland (Janel) Kriley of OK and Michael (Cindy) Kriley of Stockton; sisters, Bernita (Kaylon) Brin of Lexington, NE, Marlene (Steve) Scheibmeier of Wichita, KS, and Leta (Lonnie) Weiser of Hays; and fifteen grandchildren, Isabel (Lance), Kordel, Jozie, Emma, Deyton, Kaitlyn, Kaden, Olivia, Zoie, Warric, Connell, Luna, Chance, Lily and Layla; and many nieces and nephews. Eldon is preceded in death by his parents, Everett and Leona Kriley; son, Aaron Kriley; and brother, Daniel Kriley. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, July 25, 2020 at 10:30 AM at the St. Thomas Catholic Church in Stockton. Visitation will be held on Friday, July, 24, 2020 from 1:00 PM until 5:00 PM at the funeral home and 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the church with a Vigil and Rosary beginning at 7:00 PM.
