Edwin Vaden Bunch, of Stockton, Kansas, passed away on September 15, 2023, at his home in Stockton. He was born on February 15, 1955, in Lynchburg, Virginia to George T. and Helen (Kelly) Bunch. He married Susan Wyant on May 29, 1979, in Richmond, Kentucky.
Edwin grew up in Virginia and graduated from Hayfield High School in Fairfax County in 1973. He joined the U.S. Airforce and was an Automatic Tracking Radar Repairman. He then worked for Vega Precision Laboratories as a Test Technician and then D.C. Metro Rail as a Track Engineer until retirement.
Edwin loved history, electronics, and working on his 1955 Morgan. He was a lifetime member of the American Legion and Presbyterian Church.
Edwin is survived by his wife, Susan Bunch of the home in Stockton; children, George W. Bunch of Stockton and Terry (Sally Addison) Stroup, Jr of Stockton; brother, Gary Bunch of Port Haywood, VA; brother-in-law, William “Butch” Wyant, Jr of Stockton; four grandchildren, Jessica (Brandon) Ochoa, Catheryn (Brendon) Naggy, Bradley Stroup, and Justyn (Tori) Stroup, all of Jacksonville, NC; and two great-grandchildren, Gabriel and Aiden.
He is preceded in death by his parents, George and Helen Bunch; brother, Thomas Bunch; and sister, Sylvia Bunch.
A Graveside Service will be held on Wednesday, September 20, 2023, at 2PM at the Stockton City Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home one hour prior to the service on Wednesday.
