Earlene May Wyant passed away Wednesday, April 8, 2015 at the Rooks County Health Center in Plainville, Kansas at the age of 80. She was born on January 19, 1935 to the late Jess and Donnie (Wickhem) Spargo in Lincoln, Nebraska. On December 24, 1952 she was united in marriage to William W. Wyant, Sr. in Stockton, Kansas. Earlene was a fun loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed being on the computer and playing games of all kinds, especially a good card game. She also loved the outdoors. She spent many a weekend camping and fishing at all of the area lakes, with a special place in her heart for Stockton Lake. But of all the things she enjoyed, and places and people she loved, her grandchildren were the greatest joy of all. Earlene is survived by her children Susan Bunch and husband Edwin of Woodbridge, VA, Julie Wyant of Topeka, and William Wyant, Jr. of Stockton; sister Roselea Smart and husband Gene of Oregon; sister-in-law LaVeta Spargo of Marquette; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents Jess and Donnie Spargo, husband William Wyant, Sr., daughter Catheryn Kuhlmann, brothers Jesse, Harold, and Larry Spargo, and sisters Welma Thwaits and her husband Bryon, Vetra Stricker, Mildred Walker, and Wanda Wambold and her husband Bob. Earlene was sometimes a little strong willed but she was always very strong of body, heart, mind, and spirit. She showed love and encouragement by example. She was greatly loved, and although she will be missed, she will never be forgotten as she lives in our hearts and memories forever.
