Duane Edward Fitts

Duane Edward Fitts, 76, passed away on February 18, 2025, at his home in Stockton, Kansas. Duane was born on May 26, 1948, to Ray Edward and Alberta Mae (Behrend) Fitts in Longmont, Colorado.

Duane graduated from Lyons High School in 1965 and spent much of his life working as a stone mason and carpet layer, both in Colorado and for the past 21 years in Stockton. He was passionate about collecting antiques and took great pride in his flower gardens and yard.

Duane is survived by his son, Greg E. (Susan) Fitts of Longmont, CO; daughters, Raelyn Holmes and Stefani Fitts (Corey St.Clair) all of Stockton; sister, Patsy Bethel of Branson, MO; five grandchildren, Evan and Dylan Fitts, Jenae and Taesen Holmes, and Tristynn St. Clair; and one great-grandchild, Fennee Fitts.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Alberta; and his brother Donald “Donnie” Jappert.

The private family Celebration of Life Service will be held.
