Donna Rae Rostocil

Donna Rae Rostocil was born February 23, 1935 to Posie and Edith (Hadley) Horton in Greeley, Colorado. She passed away Thursday, August 16, 2012 at the Hays Medical Center in Hays, Kansas at the age of 77. As a young girl she attended school in Loveland, Colorado and graduated from Loveland High School. She worked at a bank in Loveland until 1968 when she and her daughter Debbie moved to Plainville. She then worked at Plainville State Bank as a bookkeeper until 1976. Donna was united in marriage on February 10, 1976 to Robert Rostocil in Stockton, Kansas. Donna loved reading, playing cards, gardening and especially spending time with her family. Survivors include her husband Robert; daughters, Debbie Cenedese of Springfield, MO, Cynda McElhaney of Anadarko, OK, and Lynne Attleson of Salina, KS; 4 grandchildren, Nicole Cenedese, Evan McElhaney, Anna Bentley, and Ben McElhaney; and 6 great-grandchildren. Preceding Donna in death are her parents, Posie and Edith Horton. Donna was a treasure of the heart, and to lose her is like losing a piece of ourselves. But the love that Donna brought did not leave us, for the essence of her soul lingers. It cannot escape our hearts, for it has been there forever.
