Donald R. Hulse

Donald Ray Hulse passed away Tuesday, May 13, 2014 at AMG Specialty Hospital in Wichita, Kansas at the age of 67. He was born July 11, 1946 in Russell, Kansas to Ray and Helen (Martin) Hulse. Donald graduated from Russell High School with the Class of 1964. He served 11 years in the United States Navy and had two sons, Jason and Shawn. Donald enjoyed hanging out with friends at the Eagle’s Lodge, tinkering with anything that needed fixin’ and fishing. He enjoyed candlelight dinners, and was always willing to lend a helping hand and give whatever he could to whoever needed it. Donald is survived by his partner, Mary Martin of Wichita; sons, Jason Hulse and wife Lisa of Topeka, and Shawn Hulse and wife Mechelle of Kansas City, MO; brothers, Jerry Hulse and wife Myrna of Cowetta, OK, and Joe Hulse of Vallejo, CA; sister, Joyce Harkness and husband Wayne of Wichita; ten grandchildren, Bethany Hulse, Serenity Hulse, Collin Hulse, Christopher Bollig, Dylan Kintner, Hannah Hulse, Matthew Sexton, Nathaniel Hulse, Chad Sexton, and Andrew Sexton; and three great-grandchildren, Viarra, Hunter, and Zachary. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Helen Hulse; and a sister, Kathy McDonald.
