Dennis Gene Kuhlmann

Dennis Gene Kuhlmann, Sr. passed away on May 7, 2022, in Wichita, KS, at the age of 73. He was born on February 16, 1949, to Clarence “Sam” and Geraldine (Prosser) Kuhlmann in Athol, KS. He married Sherry Mauck on September 20, 1968, in Hill City, KS. They were blessed with 5 children: Mark, Dennis, Danny, Mitchell, and Amanda. Dennis grew up and attended school in Athol, KS. After school, he joined the workforce in construction. After being drafted, he joined the U.S. Navy until he was honorably discharged in 1970. He worked at Schult Mobile Homes as a supervisor until he was injured. He was a member of VFW Post #8873. Dennis enjoyed cars, fishing, woodworking, traveling, and family time; especially being a grandpa and getting to babysit his grandkids. He was a good-hearted man who enjoyed life and cherished his family and friends. He will be remembered in love. Dennis is survived by his wife, Sherry Kuhlmann of Stockton, KS; sons, Mark (Janet) Kuhlmann of Stockton, Dennis Jr. (Lisa) of Bonne Terre, MO, Danny (Natasha Riffel) Kuhlmann of Wichita, and Mitchell Kuhlmann of Stockton; daughter, Amanda (Chris) McNulty of Stockton; brothers, Bob (June) Kuhlmann of Osborne, KS and Larry (Pat) Kuhlmann of Stockton; sister-in-law, Karen Kuhlmann of Osborne; 16 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, Sam and Geraldine Kuhlmann; daughter in law, Cathy Kuhlmann; grandson, Trevor Kuhlmann; and brothers, Jim Kuhlmann and infant Jackie Kuhlmann. A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 13, 2022, at 10:30 AM at the United Methodist Church in Stockton. Burial to follow in the Stockton Cemetery. There will be no public visitation.
