Delsia Dee Grover

Delsia Dee (Damewood) Grover, 82, passed away peacefully in her home in Stockton, Kansas, surrounded by her children on March 16, 2025. She was born on July 15, 1942, at the family homestead in Densmore, Kansas, to Ivory and Ida (Griffin) Damewood.


Delsia grew up in the Densmore and Logan areas, graduating from Logan High School in 1960. She was a lifelong member of the Asbury Methodist Church, where she maintained a strong and unwavering faith throughout her life. Delsia was known for her hardworking nature and dedication.


On September 24, 1961, Delsia married Dennis Minshall, and they were blessed with three children before they later divorced. On March 24, 1978, she married Clyde Grover, and they made their home in Stockton, where Delsia resided until her passing.


Delsia worked for many years as a waitress, serving at the Midway, K&V Café, and Dairy Queen until she was 80. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, creating cherished memories with each one. A passionate crafter, Delsia loved crocheting and also found joy in gardening.


She will be remembered for her loving heart, strong work ethic, and deep love for her family.


She leaves behind daughters, Sandra (David) Quint of Hays, KS and Kaleen (Tony) Jones of Woodston, KS; son, Dale (Nickie) Minshall Grover of Kingston, OK; step-son, Mike (Michele) Grover of Parker, CO; sister, Lora Belle Sander of Stockton; six grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren; and many other family and friends.


She is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Delbert; and three sisters, Lillian, Delva Jean Runnion, and Ludene Hoft; husband Clyde Grover; step-son, Dana Grover; step-daughter, Susan Grover; and grandson, Talon Grover.


A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, March 22, 2025, at 2PM at the funeral home in Stockton. There will be no public visitation.
