David L. Ice

David L. Ice passed away Thursday, April 24, 2014 at The Good Samaritan Society of Hays at the age of 90. He was born August 16, 1923 to Bernard and Jessie (Roberts) Ice at Lake County, Indiana and was raised at Wheaton, Illinois. David was a Police Officer for the University Of Davis, California for 25 years and the City of Stockton, Kansas for 15 years. He loved fishing and his annual trips to Wyoming to hunt antelope. He is survived by his wife Delores of the home; daughters, Shelley Ice of Davis, CA and Sandra Scott of Jerseyville, IL; son, Daniel Ice and wife Carol of Eureka, CA; step daughters, Deborah and husband Randy Riffel of Stockton, KS and Vicki and husband Mark Burgett of Arbuckle, CA; six grandchildren, Annie Jones of San Francisco, CA, Erin Bishop (Ely) of Nevada, Julianne Mauldin and husband of Woodland, CA, Jamie Scott of St. Charles, MO, David Ice (Amanda) of Eureka, CA and Steven Scott of Davis, CA; three step grandchildren, Sierra Luckey of Eureka, CA, Mitchell Luckey of Eureka, CA and Daniel and Donnie Riffel of Stockton, KS; and two great-grandchildren. David is preceded in death by his parents, Bernard and Jessie; daughter, Francine Jones; and sisters, Dorothy Thywald and Lois Phillips.
