Daniel Ven Neal, P.E., passed away December 1, 2012 at his home in Plano, Texas at the age of 68. He was born March 22, 1944 to Virgil and Ila “Dusty” Neal in Hoxie, Kansas and was raised by his mother and Byron “Sonny” Jones. He was a licensed auctioneer, active Rotarian and retired Civil Engineer who had recently penned a short story entitled “Kansas Championship Rodeo in Fall 1951” He was a beloved family man, his true love was in his generous heart. He achieved success, lived well and laughed often. He stood for right and good. “You my family will always be in my heart.” He is survived by his children, Dan, Teresa, Catherine and Denton; six grandchildren; his siblings, Tony, Bonny and Kyle; his mother “Dusty” Jones and his dog IIBobB.
