Curtis Paul Snow went home to be with the Lord on Monday, August 26, 2013, at his home in Alton at the age of 46. He was born August 5, 1967 to Thomas Paul and Nanci Carol (Tilley) Snow in Bentonville, Arkansas. To say that Curtis had a passion for loving, serving and helping people, especially youth and children, would be an understatement. It was his God-given life, Spirit-empowered mission, and Christ-centered purpose. Curtis was adrift until he found the Lord by attending Teen Challenge in Missouri where he dedicated his life to the Lord. He furthered his education by attending two years of Bible College at Ozark Bible Institute in Neosho, Missouri and finished with another year at Messenger Bible College in Joplin, Missouri to complete his degree. Curtis found his calling by continuing to work with Teen Challenge. He volunteered for two years and then was the Director for thirteen years until he was called to come to Kansas three and half years ago to help with the program here. His life was spent loving the Lord and teaching his family to love the Lord. He would spend anytime speaking and talking with friends that needed counseling or just wanted to talk about faith. He showed by testimony that the Jesus Factor really works. It truly empowers a person and changes them, and all of the people they touch, for all of eternity. Survivors include his wife, Melissa of Alton; daughters, Elizabeth, Marilyn, Abigail, Emily, Anna and Molly and son, Isaac; mother, Nanci Snow of Heber Springs, Arkansas; brother, James Snow and wife Deanna of Des Moines, Iowa; sisters, Kristi Ferren and husband Stevie of Providence, Arkansas and Shannon Weatherford and husband Jason of Boulder, Colorado. Curtis is preceded in death by his father, Thomas Paul Snow. The lasting legacy of Curtis’s life will carry on through his family, friends, and everyone who knew him. Indeed his life was a vapor, here yesterday and gone tomorrow, and though we cry because he will be greatly missed, we rejoice, because today Curtis is more spiritually alive than he has ever been before. Cemetery: Burial will be at a later date in the Gibson Cemetery in Neosho, Missouri.
