Connie Sue Fabrizius

Connie Sue Fabrizius passed away Saturday morning, April 27, 2013 at her home in rural WaKeeney, Kansas at the age of 52. She was born December 12, 1960 in WaKeeney, Kansas to Keith and Kay (Flagler) Zeman. Connie was baptized and confirmed in the Bethlehem Lutheran Church. She went to school in WaKeeney and graduated from Trego Community High School with the class of 1978. Connie was blessed with her son Tyler in 1978. On October 28, 1988 Connie married Paul Fabrizius. Connie served on the FSA Board and Zion Lutheran Church Council. She worked for Big Creek Fertilizer as office manager and location manager for CPS for more than 20 years. She loved working on the farm and doing the farm bookkeeping. Connie enjoyed reading and collecting antiques. She also enjoyed cooking and mastered her mother-in-law’s butterscotch pie. She loved to travel and enjoyed many trips with her family and friends over the years. She also loved photography and it shows by the wonderful pictures of her family, friends and trips all throughout her home. Connie’s true passion was her family. The joy they brought to her life illuminated her face whenever they were together. Left to cherish Connie’s memory is her husband, Paul Fabrizius of the home; mother, Kay Zeman of WaKeeney; son, Tyler Fabrizius of WaKeeney; grandchildren, Adell Fabrizius and Hugh Turley of WaKeeney; brother, Ralph Zeman and wife Sherry of Thornton, Colorado; sister, Myra Howard and husband Brad of Grainfield. Connie was preceded in death by her father Keith Zeman. Connie’s beauty and warmth radiated so brightly from her heart to everyone she met. She will be remembered for her tender care, her smile as bright as sunshine, and always there to help when needed. Her beautiful spirit will endure forever. We mourn the years that she will not have and we celebrate the time that was hers and the life that she lived.
