Cody Jackson (Arpin) Kaba

Cody Jackson (Arpin) Kaba passed away on Sunday, November 2, 2014 in Graham County, Kansas at the age of 34. He was born in Plainville, Kansas on July 5, 1980 to Renee (Arpin) Marcotte. Cody grew up in Plainville a true country boy at heart. He worked for Tallgrass Industries LLC as a Tower Forman. He was a hard worker and took pride in a job well done. He enjoyed being outside with friends and family, hunting, hanging out, playing guitar, and most especially fishing. He taught his kids to fish and loved being near the water with those he loved the most. Cody is survived by his parents Tony and Renee Marcotte of Damar; son Phoenix Jackson Arpin of Phillipsburg; daughter Trinity Ryann Arpin of Damar; brother Brent Marcotte of Damar; sisters Missy Cadoret and husband Tony of Palco, and Raquel Witt and husband Jason of Plainville; grandmothers Verna Arpin of Damar, and Joyce Marcotte of Plainville; and nieces and nephews Justine Cadoret, Ayden Cadoret, Aubree Cadoret, Calliegh Witt, and Cruz Witt. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Alfred and Marcella Arpin, Phil and Nora Kaba, and Leroy Marcotte; and a sister Jessi Arpin. What makes a great fisherman? The number of fish he catches or how he respects nature and the waters from which they come? What makes a great man? The number of friends he has or how he treats both family and friends with love and kindness? Cody was a great fisherman and a great man. He will be greatly missed.
