Clara Frieda Schulz

Clara F. Schulz peacefully passed away on November 10, 2013 at the home of her daughter, Kay, in Plainville, Kansas at the age of 99. Clara was born July 11, 1914 to John and Freda (Hildebrand) Thielenhaus in Bison, Kansas. She was united in marriage to Herbert John Schulz on August 5, 1936. To this union four children were born, JoAnn, Carol, Kay, and Randy. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Plainville, Kansas. She was a wife, homemaker, Mother, Grandmother, and teacher. She took great pride in receiving her Bachelors degree from Fort Hays State College in 1960. She wrote and published beautiful poetry that she shared many times with her family and Church family. She is survived by her children, Carol Mullenix and husband Doug of McClouth , Kansas, Kay Ross of Plainville, Kansas and Randy Shulz of Concordia, Kansas, ten grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Herbert; parents John and Freda; daughter JoAnn Scheuerman; brothers Fred, William, Elmer, and Carl; and her sister Martha Fritch.
