Cecile Irene Mccluskey

Cecile Irene McClure McCluskey died Thursday, August 2, 2012 at Redbud Village in Plainville, Kansas at the age of 101. She was born November 16, 1910 to James A. and Erma (Sparks) McClure, near Basil, Kansas, in Kingman County. On July 3, 1933, Cecile was united in marriage with Lawrence Gaylord "Mac" McCluskey. They spent their first 3 1/2 years near El Dorado, Kansas before moving to Clare, Michigan. They resided there until being transferred to Plainville in November of 1949. Cecile was a member of the Methodist Church in Plainville. Survivors include granddaughter Susan Martinez; 7 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and sister-in-law Donna McClure. Preceding Cecile in death are her husband; daughters Judith, Pamela and Sue; granddaughter Michelle Martinez; and brother Charles “Gene” McClure. Memorial Services are 3:00 p.m. Friday, August 24, 2012 at Moore-Overlease Funeral Chapel with Pastor Michael McCrickard officiating. Inurnment will be at a later date in the Plainville Cemetery.
