Carol A. Monroe

Funeral services for Carol Ann Monroe, age 68, of Plainville will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, July 14, 2011 at the Moore-Overlease Funeral Chapel in Plainville with Reverend Robert Scheck officiating. Carol passed away Monday, July 11, 2011 at the Hays Medical Center in Hays. She was born November 2, 1942 in Luray, Kansas the daughter of Martin & Ruth (Shull) Carlyle. She was a homemaker and married Theron Monroe on December 18, 1965 in Kansas City Missouri. Carol enjoyed fishing, music, playing the piano, and especially loved spending time with her family. Survivors include her husband Theron of the home; daughter Myra Monroe of Plainville; sister Jolene Gilbert of Plainville; brother LaVern and wife Virginia Brumbaugh of Topeka; grandchildren Toni Monroe, Quinton Bredemeier, and Kami Monroe of Plainville, Darla Monroe of Salina, Dakota Ganoung of Plainville; and one great grandchild Cameron; several nieces, nephews as well as many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and a daughter Carla Monroe. Visitation will be from 1 – 8 Wednesday and from 9 – service time Thursday at the funeral chapel. Following the service, cremation is planned. Memorial contributions may be made to the Carol Ann Monroe Memorial Fund and may be sent in care of the Moore-Overlease Funeral Chapel, 409 S.
