Brian L.
Moos
July 20, 1957 – June 3, 2026
Brian L. Moos, 68, of Plainville, Kansas, passed away peacefully at his home on June 3, 2026. He was born on July 20, 1957, in Plainville to Harry and Alice (Desbien) Moos.
Brian married the love of his life, Lisa Pywell, on April 20, 1985, and together built a life centered around family. Brian was a proud father to Casey, Danielle, Chelsea, Zachary and Brianna.
Following his employment with Red Tiger Drilling, Brian spent two decades working alongside his brother-in-law in the purchasing department at Schult Mobile Homes until the company's closure. He later worked at Wilkens Manufacturing until his retirement. He was known as a hardworking man who took pride in providing for his family and never hesitated to help those he loved.
Those who knew Brian knew him as a man who was stubborn, meticulous, and set in his ways, but also deeply devoted to his family. In recent years, especially through life’s hardships, those closest to him saw an even softer side of him — one that treasured time spent with family, conversations with his children, and moments with his grandchildren.
Brian is survived by his wife, Lisa Moos, of the home; his daughters, Casey (Timothy) Pierz of Wellington, Colorado, Danielle (Mark) Waggoner and Chelsea Garcia, both of Plainville, Kansas and Brianna (Tyler) Husmann of Lincoln, Nebraska. He is lovingly remembered by his grandchildren: Rose, Annabelle, Olyvia, London, Lincoln, Landrie, Lillian, Natalie, Aubrey, Arthur, Adelaide, and great-grandson Jonathon. He is also survived by his sister, Carol (Bob) Parker and numerous nieces and nephews.
Brian was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Alice Moos; his brother, Harry Moos; and his beloved son, Zachary Moos.
Brian’s love for his family was unwavering, and the memories he created with them will be cherished forever. His presence, guidance, and quiet strength will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Services are pending and will be announced at a later date.
Memorials are suggested to Rooks County Health Center Foundation or Northwest Cares Hospice Service and may be sent to Plumer-Overlease Funeral Home, 320 SW 2nd, Plainville, KS 67663.
