Bradley Dwayne Schmitt

Bradley Dwayne Schmitt passed away on May 3, 2024, at his home in WaKeeney, KS. He was born on July 9, 1959, to Donald and Janice (Roesch) Schmitt in WaKeeney. In 1983 he married Margaret Parke. They were blessed with two sons: Monte and Mitchell. They later divorced.

Brad lived his whole life on the farm outside of WaKeeney. He graduated from WaKeeney High School in 1977. He farmed and was a big conservationist. Brad had various soil conservation projects and helped pioneer no-till milo in the local community. He was a volunteer for 30 plus years for the rural fire department and he was an active FFA Alumni.

Brad is survived by his children, Monte Schmitt of Hays, KS and Mitchell Schmitt of Houston, TX; brother, Randy Schmitt of Hutchinson, KS; sister, Ramona Schmitt of Hays, KS; and one grandson, Harrison Schmitt.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Janice.

A private family service will be held.
