Billy Pearce, 76, of Plainville, Kansas, passed away February 13, 2026, at Redbud Village in Plainville. He was born on November 10, 1949, in Great Bend, Kansas to Floyd and Joyce Pearce.

Billy grew up in Smith Center, Kansas, where he graduated from Smith Center High School. He lived in Hays before moving to RedBud Village, where he became a cherished part of the community.

Billy worked for many years at the feedlot in Hays and was known for his strong work ethic and kind spirit. He enjoyed spending his free time fishing and listening to music—two of his greatest pleasures.

Though Billy did not have family of his own, he was deeply loved by the staff and residents at RedBud, who considered him part of their family. Billie shared countless stories and laughter with those around him and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

He is preceded in death by his parents.
