Allen Steve Rogers passed away Thursday, March 12, 2015 at the Salina Regional Health Center in Salina, Kansas at the age of 52. He was born on April 19, 1962 in Hays, Kansas to Merle and Barbara (Smee) Rogers. Allen grew up in Plainville and graduated from Plainville High School with the Class of 1980. He went on to attend Vo-Tech school for auto mechanics. He also worked several years for the Rooks County Sheriff’s Department. Allen enjoyed life and loved to have good times with friends and family. He enjoyed motorcycles, especially Harleys, gaming, and playing the lottery. He was always up for a good card game, especially poker or Texas Hold ‘Em. He liked working on cars and enjoyed collecting guns. Allen is survived by his father Merle Rogers of Plainville; son Chris Rogers of Victoria; daughters Danielle Rogers with Ryan Becker of Plainville, and Megan Rogers of Plainville; brothers Bob Rogers and wife Linda of Burlington, CO, and Henry Rogers and wife Shirley of Plainville; sister Jean Tremblay of Stockton; and two grandchildren Braylon and Reece Becker. He was preceded in death by his mother Barbara Rogers, and sister Janie Herl. Allen was a good hearted man who loved life. Although he was taken from us way too soon, we know that those we once enjoyed and deeply loved we can never lose, for all that we love deeply becomes a part of us. Allen will live forever in our hearts and in our memories.
