Adam Curt Creamer passed away Saturday, January 31, 2015 at the Graham County Hospital in Hill City, Kansas at the age of 41. He was born November 21, 1973 in Elwood, Indiana to Keith and Victoria (Powell) Creamer. He grew up in Elwood and graduated from Elwood Community High School with the Class of 1992. He went on to receive his Bachelor’s Degree from Vincennes University in Vincennes, Indiana. In August of 1994, Adam joined the United States Air Force serving in the Security Forces Squadron of the Air Force Materiel Command. He was recognized for Superior Academic Achievement from the Air Education and Training Command, and for Outstanding Support during Operation Desert Storm/Cease Fire Campaign from the 4409th Operations Group. He received the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Air Force Achievement Medal, Air Force Training Ribbon, Humanitarian Service Medal, Air Force Outstanding Unit Award, and the Air Force Good Conduct Medal. He was Honorably Discharged in August of 1998. Adam made a life and career in law enforcement beginning in the great State of Florida. He proudly served the Sanford Police Department, Lake Mary Police Department where he received a Certificate of Medal of Valor, and the Seminole County Sheriff’s Department all before moving to Graham County, Kansas and serving with the Graham County Sheriff’s Department. On November 22, 2008 Adam was united in marriage to Holly Ochs in Ponce Inlet, Florida. They were blessed with two daughters, Hayden and Adalynn. Adam was a proud daddy who loved his family and children above all else. A man of strong character with a huge heart, he was soft spoken, kind, and would do anything for anybody. He had a quick sense of humor that put people at ease, even if he was arresting them or writing a ticket, sometimes even receiving a thank you from them. Adam enjoyed the outdoors, especially fresh water fishing for bass and crappie, and shot his first deer in 2014. He was an avid Indianapolis Colts and Peyton Manning fan. He was a member of St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church in Hoxie. Adam is survived by his wife Holly Creamer of the home in Morland; daughters Hayden and Adalynn Creamer also of the home; father Keith Creamer and step-mother Sandy of Elwood, IN; mother Victoria Dever of Elwood, IN; brother Greg Creamer of Elwood, IN; step-brother Norm Price and wife Lora of Gaston, IN; and sisters Kristi Peters and husband Jim of Elwood, IN, and Leslie Grubb and husband Ronnie of Windfall, IN. He was preceded in death by his step-father Donald Dever. Adam embodied for all of us not only the duty of an officer, but the duty of a man, a father, and a friend; to serve others; to safeguard lives; to protect the innocent, the weak, and the peaceful; and to respect the rights of all people. His life, his love, and his legacy will live forever in the hearts and lives of all who knew him. Reception: St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church
